This optional cable is used to connect your Vehicle Reporter II to the car's 12-volt electrical system. One end plugs into the Vehicle Reporter II. The other plugs into the cigar lighter (or 12-volt accessory plug) in your vehicle.

Powering the Vehicle Reporter II from your car's electrical system allows you to run the unit even after the Vehicle Reporter II internal AA batteries have run down.
